There I was sitting at the table playing with a 1/35 Russian KV-1 when this bloke asks "can someone build something for me?" Well, being a sociable chap I entered into a conversation with the bloke and he produced the Airfix / JB 1/76 Landrover 1 tonne kit ...

... as you can see it builds into a nice little model, and of course the bloke insisted that he pay me ...

Anyway, we got to chatting further and it seems this bloke has a 1:1 Ferret Scout Car and he was looking for a model of the beast. I sent him down to see Derek of Accurate Armour and he wombled back and asked ... "could you build this for me please?" ... "of course I can", "I'll pay you for your time obviously!" I may as well start on it tomorrow, it'll give me something to do I suppose? ...

Nick,

I am not much up on military stuff, but would that be a Daimler Ferret scout car?

If so then mosey on over to KFS as this is nearly ready, £125  though

TQ-FV701 Daimler Ferret Mk2/3

link here, scroll down a bit, no piccy yet though

http://www.kitformservices.com/standard.html

might get you a nice commission

The bloke has already bought the 1/35 Accurate Armour version Ron, I have it here in the caravan. Commission from Howard? ... maybe when he gets the order for two 1/24 Matador's? ... the one he photographed is here all the way from Northumberland and the bloke has already asked me to build a model of it using Howard's kit.

No Nick not from Howard but from the ferret owner, which you answered in your post

It's persisting down again, however, it was lovely and sunny when Terry and his good lady Karen arrived at sparrows fart this morning. We helped Terry erect his compact and bijou residence before we nipped smartly away to the model marquee for the day. Apparently, Terry didn't realise how big the place was and his little legs have been walked to exhaustion. However, on my return from a hard day model making, Terry and Karen were busy tucking in to very nice curry and afterwards they were photographed shortly before stepping out to the local hop for a night of frenzied 'jitterbugging' ...

... here's Terry and Karen all ready to hop! ... they've even got carpet in their tent ...

The weather doesn't bother me Steve, it's a superb show, lots to look at, five days of modelling and I'm on holiday. As for dancing? ... nah ... 3 left feet ...

Excellent show, all packed up and now chillin with a cold Belgian beer. Sold a few kits, bought a couple of bargains and I pointed Terry in the direction of a trusted kit emporium and he bought the Trumpeter 1/35 MAZ tank transporter, let's see how long it takes for him to start that. Actually, Terry and Karen have just left after loading up the Tardis, just a 45 minute hop for them, we've got a 5 hour drive tomorrow, a late start and a leisurely departure I think.

Wasn't really bothered about the weather, but the sunshine today was brilliant, looking forward to next year already. Anyone fancy exhibiting a few models next year?
