Quest at Gaydon!!

Did anybody take any photos of this beasty at Gaydon.....I took one with the intention of more but forgot :angry: :angry:

It was in a corner of the hard standing :cheesy: I didn't take any, ugly thing! but someone was talking to me about it saying there were only two in existence and the same guy owns both. Now who was it...... :sad:

very strange machine that, i was thinking it looked like renault panels until i read the history of it, maybe they did use renault panel work????

Whats that blue and yellow thing in the background? it looks interesting.

That blue and yellow thing is a FTF (Floor's Truck Fabriek), a dutch truck manufacturer.
Uses a Motor Panels cab (similar as ERF and the others but with different front panel)

ps: and don't call a FTF a "thing" to a dutchman, it is (was) their national pride  :grin:

edit: I just now notice those supports under the steps, wonder what they are for??

could be to stop the floor falling out of the thing FTF, or to stop it tilting forward as there appears to be no weight in the back of the thing sorry, FTF :tongue: :grin:

This used to bring sand into the ARC mortar plant at Oldbury when I was there, wish I'd took more photos back in the day!!!!
