yes, there was a small show organised by David March, in the main hall, but only allowed about a 1/3 of it, there were no competitions either, there was supposed to be a big R.C. display area but it wasn't organised in time.
the "Mad Max" display was buy a group of war gamers, who were invited by the retro show organisers, the show was open on the sat and sunday, but only open to the public for the truck show on sunday, no one told the war gamers that though, and they were trying really hard to get people to have a go at there game, until I told them that the public don't arrive until the sunday, and the only people milling through were exhibiters, so they packed up and went to the pub.
on the sunday they didn't really fare much better, wich was a shame, as they were very enthusiastic and had even dressed up for the part as post apocalyptic road warriors, and packed up early sunday afternoon, vowing to never return.
the models had been built by one guy several years ago, and were stored in a box under his bed, and although they were very good, he wasn't that interested in talking about models, and was only there to show case the war gaming hobby.
