Title: jabbeke 2015
Post by: v8alan73 on March 22, 2015, 07:33:18 PM
heres a link to the photos I took at jabbeke where the standard of models were first class and i would like to thank peter d'hollander and the on the road crew for their fine hospitality and hard work in putting on this show. i was chuffed to come away with a 1st place in best Iveco and 3rd in best other European makes and third in best company livery and well done to the other british winners david cassell, pete daniels and ron johnson. the only downside is there wont be a feature of this great show in TMW as they failed to attend and they had been sent forms as I asked the on the road guys about it dosent look good for the future of the magazine  lets hope they can bother coming to gaydon.

enjoy

thanks Andrew it felt amazing when my name was called out  as for the TMW crew what would it have taken to jump into the car and even just go for the day on the sunday I put a post on the TMW on the Saturday night hoping they would do just that but they never showed. at least if the magazine does go down the pan we will still have this forum and the various groups on facebook.

Was a great feeling to have my name called out, better than at Gaydon (sorry Ash),
As Alan says shame about TMW not being there, didn't really expect them to be, just hoped,
and they still haven't replied to Alan's post, says it all really

Well done on the trophies guys, makes the trip worthwhile.
I have not seen a copy of TMW since the new mob took over, I have a rolling subscription and it just seems to have stopped, hey ho.

TMW have now replied to the post on the TMW forum they said they had pre-booked another show that weekend which was booked before the takeover of TMW. I have put a link on there to my pictures and if there are any good enough quality pictures to put an article together they are more than welcome to use them.

Pre-booked another show...? something bigger and more interesting to truck modellers than Jabbeke? Is that bullshit I smell?

The TMW forum has all but died since the move to the new site, and from the poor responses that people have been getting (if at all) from the new company, I hate to say it, but I think the magazine is going to die very quickly.

By the sounds of it IGP is not the big concern we might have thought, and they have other magazines to work on, hence other shows to attend. I'll be interested to see what the new "policy" for submitting articles is, got one written and a few more lined up...

Thanks for taking me Alan was a hell of a show. As for TMW let them shove it up there ar*e. It should have been known once Peter left it would go straight down the pan. I know we will take over a truck model mag then not bother going to the biggest truck model show in Europe  got to be some logic somewhere in it..............
                                                                                             MUPPETS.................

Yes, some exceptional models there....and a couple of dodgy ones,
which gives me hope for my models.  :cheesy:

theres a even more dodgy bloke in the background in a couple of the pictures    I've got to admit if I'd seen the bloke taking pictures I would have shifted out the way.
