Title: Spalding Model Truck and Construction Show Sun 18th March 2012
Post by: Just Beginning on February 12, 2012, 01:04:02 PM
Just seen this and thought I'd post it as the missus reminded me about it...

For those who haven't been there's a great retail outlet village close by (for the wives ) that keeps them occupied while we sort the important stuff out...

Mind you it cost me a Radley handbag last year... No wonder she wants to go again...

The shows great for picking up literature or if your into collecting. Doesn't cater much for 1/24th scale but is predominantly the smaller scales although there is an area for R/C. Last year seemed a bit thin on displays. Maybe a marketing event for the forum next year...

Reason it was thin on displays for last year is that you are charged to display, thats why those that have displayed in previous years did not as he put the prices up from previous years

It is a waste of time. I took 30 minutes to look round and left. Mainly 1/50 Corgi on sale. No 1/24 trucks..and I don't really call seeing any built up displays. This was about 3 to 4 years ago and it hasn't changed from what I have heard.
