Title: Model Railway show!
Post by: strobe_911 on March 19, 2010, 08:23:16 PM
Yes you read it correctly, a chuffers event. It's the model railway show at the Harvey Hadden sports complex near Nottingham this weekend and I've been invited along for the 4th year running. It's a superb event for learing about building scenery, scratch building, painting and weathering, soldering and just about every technique you could mention. If anyone is in the area over the weekend, drop by and say hello. Here's one of the celebrities from last year ...

... he's a big fan of Wallace & Gromit ... apparently?  ;)

I'm sure that's Pete Waterman on the right. Don't know the other bloke though, although it does say Nick Allen on his t-shirt - clue??

At the time I converted it to house a smoke generator, a light in the front and a flickering light in the fire box.......

Well the smoke generator packed up and the flickering light in the smoke box packed up too........  I tried to fix the fire box lights but in the end I couldnt, which was a shame as i had added lots of brass detailing (scratched and kit).

In the end it ended in the spares box lol
